For the 2024 edition, Pietrachiara brings its homage to the city of Naples to Edit, featuring the Fluxus bamboo screens (first presented at FuoriSalone last April) painted in blue to recreate the gentle waves of the Gulf and serve as the backdrop for their new product: the Otto desk.
Continuing to draw inspiration from the past, Pietrachiara has reinterpreted the simple and elegant Ming style with a modern perspective and the high-quality Italian craftsmanship. The Ming literati influenced the design of everyday objects, especially the furniture in intellectuals’ studies, which inspired the development of this desk. It combines advanced artisanal techniques with a minimalist aesthetic that favors grace and tranquility over excess and distraction.
Completing the display are the new Papyri stoneware vases, further connecting with Naples, as they draw inspiration from the famous bronze Herculaneum Athletes, borrowing their color and the detail of the eyes.
